Since I wasn't able to rent a car in Lochmaddy on North Uist, Scotland, my hotel owner was nice enough to take me for a drive around. We went to an out-of-the-way beach on the west coast to catch the sunset. As usual, while taking wide angle landscape shots, it's always good to take a break and remember to look for close-up detail shots.
I found a field of old abandoned cars while driving back to Manitoba from Saskatchewan. This is an abstract of some rust and peeling paint near the door handle of one of them.
This was a huge field of little round purple flowers, north of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. I decided to lengthen the exposure and try some shots while I zoomed my lens toward the flowers. The purple and green shot was nice but I prefer this black and white version.
