The Salar de Uyuni shortly after sunrise, the world's largest salt flat. I would have liked to have spent more time here but I was on a multi-day tour (one of the only tours I've ever taken, out of necessity) and they moved us along. The tour was four days and three nights but we only got about half a day on the salt flats, which was the point of the trip. Although the scenery we passed through to get there was very impressive.
Some of the otherworldly scenery surrounding San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. I spent a few days here organizing my trip to the Bolivian salt flats and took a couple of day tours while I was there.
One of the most photographed castles in the world and possibly the most photographed in Scotland. This castle was featured in the first Highlander movie. It was very interesting inside, with the entrance walkway winding around a large boulder and many small spiral staircases and passageways inside. The weather was bad when I first saw it (as is usually the case in Scotland) and I came back the following morning and found the smooth lake reflecting the fortress.
