This wasn't the large waterfall that the area is named after, but I often like the smaller falls so I can get in close. Here one of the chutes was short while the one closer to the camera was really long and narrow. This was at the Falls of Lana. Little did I know, just south of the trail is a place called Satan's Kingdom, and I must have driven right through it when I left.
Sunset from Deer Leap Trail in Vermont. My plan was to do sunrise here, but I had time so I thought I might as well check it out at sunset, and be prepared for getting on location before sunrise when everything would be dark. It was listed as an easy trail, but it was pretty hard. By the time I finally got to the top I was sweating and my legs were shaking. I wasn't sure I could do it all again at 5am, plus I didn't think the view toward the sunrise would be that great. I didn't go back at sunrise, but this sunset shot was worth the effort.
This reflection of clouds became a near abstract shot. It was nice weather and a very calm and relaxing evening, and I think that feeling can be seen in the photo.
