The sun only lines up for this shot for about one month out of the year. The first time I was there I didn’t get a nice cloud filled sky for the sunset. I tried going back a year later and was able to get this shot just before the sun got too low. I have some shots with a better starburst effect but I liked the cloud over the house in this one.
I had been shooting sunrise at this old abandoned house when I saw this shadow as I was packing up to head back home. I walked over to the best viewpoint and took a few more shots of this shadow effect before I left.
