Kilchurn Castle, one of the most photographed in Scotland. I was here at sunrise but the sun never broke through the clouds to light the side of the castle. But, I stayed and photographed for a while. On the way back to the car I took one last look back and decided to try a panorama.
One of the hundreds of roadside waterfalls in Iceland. If you are into waterfalls, Iceland is the place to be. There are also volcanoes, ice caves, icebergs, black sand beaches, and historic sites. It's very safe and everyone speaks English. But be ready...it's expensive.
This is immediately recognizable for most people that have been to Iceland; the rock formation here is memorable. This was taken on the black sand beach at Vik. The rock formations can be seen from the other side of the headland as well, where there is a cave made of basalt columns like those found at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.
