I actually got lucky during my first visit to this creek at sunset. The actual sunset produced some nice shots but this was from a few minutes afterward.
It's quite hard to get the starburst effect when shooting in infrared (IR). I had to continually make minor adjustments to avoid flare; and with the sun slowly moving through the sky it makes it extra frustrating. This was with an IR converted camera, which makes it easier since I can see through the viewfinder rather than having a filter screwed on the front, rendering the viewfinder almost completely black. This was taken on the grounds of the Legislative Building in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
