This is a multi-image panorama of a simple scene of clouds over a field in southern Saskatchewan. These open horizons of the prairies ("big skies" they are sometimes called) are amazing and it's a very peaceful place to be.
This was a huge tree in the parking lot at Buttermilk Falls in north New York State in the Finger Lakes region. I knew that the hike would be good considering that I was already taking photos and hadn't even left the parking lot. It was low-water time (autumn) in the gorge, but it was interesting being able to see all the rock pools carved out by the falls. I'm sure it would be an even more amazing hike in the spring.
This is spring on Lake Winnipeg, Canada. The ice had melted on the lake but there were still some piles of ice on the shore that had been pushed there by the waves. This was a very small cavity in the ice and I had to lie down and put the camera into the crevice and use the self-timer, then pull it out and check to see if the shot had worked out. I had to try many exposures to get the focus and composition correct.
