This is the pagoda that is near Nachi Falls, the tallest waterfall in Japan. This unobstructed viewpoint was hard to find and I had to wait for the tourists to leave. But it was worth it when some mist rolled in and created a magical mood.
This is possibly the most famous waterfall in Vermont. Usually it's photographed straight on but I decided to add some foreground interest to the image.
This is a small waterfall near the parking lot of Silent Lake Provincial Park. Initially I was disappointed to see that the trees were pretty bare, but I learned that for waterfall photography, it can actually be better that the leaves are on the forest floor rather than the trees. The leaves had settled on a raised section between the water streams and I had never seen anything like it before. I put on the rubber boots I keep in the trunk for times like this and got in close with a wide angle lens.
