Sanjusangendo temple, Kyoto, this is a picture from my souvenir book because no photos were allowed inside. From here you can see some of the 1000 multi-armed Kannon (500 on each side of a giant 1000 armed bhudda statue) each with a different face. You can also see some of the 28 protective gods that are in front. Very rare to find this set of 28 statues all together and not damaged. One of the most amazing sites of the trip!
