My friend Ivan from Northern Ireland met me in Reykjavik and we drove the ringroad with a detour into the Westfjords. It was a very fast trip to try to do the road in 10 days. Lots of waterfalls, very expensive, very nice people, everyone spoke English, great lobster, and phenomenal landscapes. My girlfriend wanted a picture of a puffin but they had all left about the week before I got there at the end of August. I think we had blue skies for a day at the beginning in Reykjavik and an evening at the end of the trip in Reykjavik; the rest of the time it was overcast or raining. Better weather would have been nice. Only 300,000 people on the entire island, and most of them live in the capital. Definitely a place that I'd like to go back to one day. A great place for photographers and non-photographers alike.
