Food

The food was great! I loved the little convenience stores and 7-Eleven stores. I particularly liked the belt conveyor sushi restaurant where you just grab whatever you want and are charged per plate; only 100 yen per plate! That's about $1. Chichi liked a few things that I thought were a bit gross (see the picture of the bacteria beans). I loved Nakau fast food; you walk in, order a ticket from a vending machine, sit down, they take your ticket, free cold green tea arrives, and your food is only a few seconds later. Faster than any fast food in North America. Actually even the chain restaurants like McDonalds were waaaay faster than here; I never waited more than about 15 seconds for my food. Lots of little snacks and food that we don't have here; I had a lot of fun. Lots of 24 hour restaurants. Energy drinks are very popular. And the sake is amazing! So many different kinds and really really smooth.

There was Octopus everywhere!
