Costa Rica
I was in Costa Rica for about two weeks. The wildlife here really can't be beat, it's not just a rumour. There aren't many man made ruins here (my type of thing) but if adventure sports are your thing then you've come to the right place. Again I got to have a nice cultural experience while staying with Federico and his mother; great, hospitable people and excellent food, thanks again! It was just coming into rainy season when I got here and it pretty much rained a little bit everyday. The humidity got to be an issue when I was down on the Osa peninsula in the southwest of the country as I would be dripping sweat while just sitting and reading a book. I highly recommend Corcovado rainforest on the Osa peninsula, the place National Geographic called "the most biologically diverse area on the planet." Be careful in the capital city San Jose (as with any capital city in Central America) and watch your stuff at all times (I had my camera and cell phone stolen on a bus between cities. And try to see both coasts, they are apparently quite different.
