Romania
I was in Romania for about a week and a half. Transylvania was one of my goals for the trip and it is a really beautiful place; lots of mountains, farming, and vampire lore. I visited where Vlad Dracul was born and his ruined castle. Getting stuck behind horse drawn carts on the street was a pretty common occurrence. Bran Castle was very picturesque and it was for sale while I was there...for 135 million euro! The Palace of Parliament in Bucharest (the second largest building in the world) was really impressive, even though the building of it was really destructive. I was only in Bucharest for one night but from wandering around I think I would really like it and I would love to go back one day. Overall the country has a real traditional, undeveloped and wild feel to it, a good place to see some real culture that's not put on just for tourists.
